Eagle-eyed readers have spied the famous rock star who played a cool cameo (via the audio link) in the previous post.
Met him during the journey of this book. I’d got him to agree to meet up for a few words after his gig in Manchester (he does look pretty bored, tired … “poe-faced”). In fact he called out my name as he approached, with his outstretched hand. Very gracious in his actions as much as his dialogue …
“Once upon a moment.”
(Footnote. There was a small section that he had inspired in the book, yet it was omitted in final drafting after he died. RIP Lou. Some afterglow, or shade, of his spirit infused the characterisation for ‘Troy’ in my debit novel, Monkey Steals Plum).
